Work Bee

  • 05/08/2021
  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Oakland County Boat Club

This annual event is a great opportunity for Members to work together to spruce up our clubhouse & grounds for the upcoming Summer season.

We’ll be cleaning, painting, power-washing, planting flowers, and making sure the OCBC is in tip-top shape.

As you may know, this event is mandatory for boat well lessees. This year, we’ll be focused on repurposing docks that were deemed salvageable after having been removed during the Phase II dock renovation project, and installing them on the east side of the point facing Ferndale. If additional dock sections are needed, we’ll build them together on site.

Those boat well lessees who are physically unable to work on the docks may elect to do other work on the grounds or in the clubhouse. Those who are unable to participate in any fashion are required to remit an assessment of $100 by the end of the calendar year, or risk forfeiture of your boat well.

Breakfast & lunch will be provided.

This year the Dock Committee consists of 7 members:

Tony Bull*
Mark Schwarz*
Paul Eminger*
Jake Snyder
Joe Szydlowski
Sharon Kincaid
Matthew Yanosek
*denotes team leader

Depending on the number of people signing up for any one team you may be reassigned as needed by the team leader.
