NEW MEMBER DRAWING
There are ~36 openings this year, with the exact number to be determined.
On Thursday, April 22nd at 6:00pm we will hold a drawing that will fill those openings, and then comprise the waiting list for next year.
There will be two pools of candidates from which we’ll be drawing. The first will be comprised of verified family member prospects (defined as a Member’s parents, spouse, children and brother/sister), while the second will be comprised of non-family prospects, and will be regarded as the general pool.
We will begin by drawing two names from the family member pool. They will become the first two names on our new Member list. Those family member candidates whose names are not drawn will then be added to the general pool.
We will then draw names from the general pool until all ~36 openings are filled. We will continue to draw names until we have comprised the 2022 waiting list, limited to 50 prospects as per a motion passed by the Board of Directors.
In order to enter into either pool, Prospects may visit the OCBC as the guest of a Member, and purchase an entry for $100, with a limit of two entries per person.
Tickets will be made available on the following dates according to last name:
A-G Monday, April 12th 4:30pm-7:30pm
H-N Wednesday, April 14th 4:30pm-7:30pm
O-Z Saturday, April 17th 12:00pm-2:00pm

In-person attendance during the drawing will be limited to the Membership, House & Communications committees, as well as the Board of Directors, Flag Officers and employees.
Those Prospects whose names are drawn and are added to the new Member list will be invited to submit an application for membership.
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
In accordance with our by-laws, all applicants must be 21 years of age, apply in writing, and provide accurate & complete information on their application.
Each applicant must have one proposer and two sponsors who are voting members of the OCBC.
Membership Applications will be accepted on the second floor of OCBC on the following dates:
Thursday, April 22nd 7:30pm-9:30pm
Saturday, April 24th 12:00pm-2:00pm
Sunday, April 25th 12:00pm-2:00pm
In order to submit an application, each applicant must be accompanied by their one proposer and two sponsors. The proposers and sponsors will be verified as Members in good standing.
Applications may not leave the building, and will only be provided once the Prospect, proposer and sponsors are present.
Upon completion of an application, each applicant must remit a $500 initiation fee.
Applications will be posted at OCBC for no less than 15 days prior to the General Membership Meeting at which the Membership will vote to affirm the applicants by secret ballot.
